LA sports has lost another icon. Despite the city’s recent problems, we have been blessed with legendary public figures.
He was open about his Catholic faith and we have the utmost hope that he is – if not already – united with Our Lady and with Our Lord.
We have lost three Catholic LA sports icons since 2020: Kobe Bryant (Jan. 2020), Tommy Lasorda (Jan. 2021), and now Vin Scully (Aug. 2022).
Requiescat in Pace Mr. Scully – greatness is few and far between.
